Creating Your Company
After registering, the first thing you'll do is set up your company. This is the workspace where all your accounting data — invoices, contacts, expenses, and reports — will live.
Step 1: Fill in Your Company Details
You'll be prompted with a company creation form. Complete the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Company Name | Your registered business name (minimum 3 characters) |
| Country | The country your business operates in |
| Currency | Your primary operating currency (e.g. AED, USD, GBP) |
| Tax Number | Optional — your VAT or tax registration number |
Click Create Company.
Step 2: Choose a Plan
After your company is created, you'll be directed to the subscription page where you can choose a plan:
- Plus — Invoicing, estimates, credit notes, journals, chart of accounts
- Premium — All Plus features + bills, purchase orders, debit notes, made payments
All plans come with a 14-day free trial.
See Subscription & Billing for full plan details.
Step 3: What Gets Set Up Automatically
Acusheet does the heavy lifting when your company is created:
- ✅ 37 default Chart of Accounts are created (Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Income, Expenses)
- ✅ Tax rates are pre-configured based on your country (e.g. UAE gets 5% VAT and 0% VAT)
- ✅ Admin role is assigned to you with full permissions
- ✅ Document defaults are set (invoice titles, due dates, notes, terms)
Step 4: Complete Your Profile
Once inside your dashboard, we recommend completing your setup using the Getting Started checklist which guides you through:
- Adding your logo and address to Settings
- Configuring your tax rates
- Adding your first contact
- Creating your first invoice
Managing Multiple Companies
If you manage multiple businesses, you can create additional companies under the same account:
- Click your company name in the top navigation
- Select Switch Company or Add Company
- Follow the same setup flow
Each company has completely separate data, settings, and accounts.
