Key Dashboard Elements

Onboarding Checklist

When you first create your company, a Getting Started card appears at the top of your dashboard. It guides you through the 6 most important setup steps. It can be collapsed or dismissed once you're done.

Date Filter

Use the period filter (top right) to change the time range for all dashboard stats:

  • Current Financial Year (default)
  • This Month
  • Last Month
  • Last 3 Months
  • Custom Range

KPI Cards

Five headline numbers updated in real time:

Card What It Shows
Revenue Total income from your sales accounts in the selected period
Expenses Total costs from your expense accounts in the selected period
Net Profit Revenue minus Expenses for the selected period
Outstanding Total unpaid invoice value (all unpaid invoices, any age)
Overdue Value and count of invoices that have passed their due date

Each card also shows a change indicator (↑ / ↓) comparing the current period to the equivalent previous period.

Sales vs Purchases Chart

A bar chart comparing your income and expenditure month by month within the selected period. Useful for spotting seasonal trends.

Expense Categories

A breakdown of your expenses by category — shows which areas of the business are costing the most.

Overdue Invoices

A quick list of invoices that have passed their due date and are still unpaid. Click any row to go directly to that invoice.

Upcoming Bills

Bills that are due soon, so you can plan your cash flow accordingly.

  • Notifications — Alerts for overdue invoices and upcoming bills
  • User Menu — Profile settings, switch company, logout

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are some menu items greyed out or hidden?
Your subscription plan or user role may restrict access to certain features. Premium features (bills, purchase orders, etc.) require a Premium subscription. Some features also require specific permissions set by your admin.

Can I customise the dashboard?
The current dashboard layout is fixed, but the date filter lets you change the period for all stats.

The numbers on my dashboard look wrong — what should I check?
Make sure the date filter is set to the correct period. Also verify that your financial year start date is configured correctly in Settings → Localization.
