Receivable Ageing Reports
Receivable Ageing reports show you how long your unpaid invoices have been outstanding — grouped by customer and bucketed by age. They are the essential tool for managing collections and cash flow.
Two Variants
| Report | Best For |
|---|---|
| Receivable Ageing Summary | One total row per customer across age buckets — quick overview |
| Receivable Ageing Detail | Every individual unpaid invoice — full drill-down |
How to View
- Go to Reports
- Select Receivable Ageing Summary or Receivable Ageing Detail
- Set the As On date (defaults to today)
- Optionally adjust the interval (days per bucket) and number of buckets
- The report loads automatically
Ageing Buckets
By default the report uses 30-day intervals across 4 buckets:
| Bucket | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1–30 Days | Invoice date is up to 30 days ago — recently issued |
| 31–60 Days | Overdue by 31–60 days — follow up required |
| 61–90 Days | Significantly overdue — escalate |
| > 90 Days | Seriously overdue — consider legal action or write-off |
You can customise the interval (e.g. 15 days) and the number of buckets to suit your business.
How Age Is Calculated
Age is based on the invoice date, not the due date — measured from the invoice date to the As On date you set.

- Cash flow forecasting — estimate when outstanding amounts are likely to be collected
- Management reporting — show total receivable exposure by age
Frequently Asked Questions
Only unpaid invoices appear — is that correct?
Yes. Fully paid invoices are excluded. Partially paid invoices show only the remaining outstanding amount.
What does "As On" mean?
The report shows unpaid invoices as of that date. Setting it to a past date lets you see what your receivables looked like historically.
How do I use this to chase customers?
Use the Summary to identify which customers have old balances. Then open their Party Account Statement to get the full detail before making contact.
