Report Accuracy

Reports are only as accurate as the data entered. To ensure accurate reports:

  • ✅ Approve invoices and bills (drafts don't appear in reports)
  • ✅ Record all expenses and payments promptly
  • ✅ Use the correct accounts on each transaction
  • ✅ Set your financial year start date correctly in Settings → Localization
  • ✅ Reconcile your accounts regularly

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't my draft invoices show in the P&L?
Only approved (posted) documents affect your reports. Drafts are excluded.

My numbers don't match my bank statement — why?
The system reflects what's been entered, not necessarily what's cleared your bank. Reconcile regularly to catch any missing transactions.

Can I filter a report by contact or account?
Yes — reports like General Ledger, Account Transactions, and Party Account Statement let you filter by account or contact. Others show all data by default.

What's the difference between Summary and Detailed reports?
Summary reports show one total row per customer/vendor/item. Detailed reports show every individual invoice or line item — useful for drilling down into the numbers.

What's the difference between Ageing Summary and Ageing Detail?
Ageing Summary shows one total per customer/vendor across age buckets. Ageing Detail shows each individual unpaid invoice/bill with its own bucket.

Some reports are locked — how do I access them?
